Pen-y-geulan is a hidden gem, Nestled in the quiet Dyfi valley close to market town of Machynlleth this beautiful detached cottage is the definition of tranquility.
Sleeping up to 5 people over 2 bedrooms.
From the front door you will enter the Summer room,an outside /inside dining area and log burner to gather around. From here there is a brief walk to the main front door which leads you into a cosy kitchen area, off this is the main Double bedroom. Upstairs is Bathroom, Lounge with breathtaking views and a second bedroom.
The house dates back to early 1800’s when it used to be 2 very small cottages. Renovated in 1977 and then again in 2007 when we bought it. It remain full of character with wood stoves ♥️♥️ in living room and one in the kitchen and another for cosy summer nights in the summer room.
The views are simply stunning looking up and down the Dyfi valley – hence why we have the living room upstairs so this can be best appreciated.
We welcome dogs and the terraced garden which extends to nearly quarter of an acre is fenced immediately around the house. Machynlleth is only 6 miles away and there is a fantastic pub in the village serving food from 8am.
The house is well furnished with a mix of antique / vintage items with some modern comforts. We do have Wifi and Satellite Tv for bad weather days.
